"Incorruptible" & "Farscape: Scorpius" TPBs

This past month two TPBs have come out with my color work! The first up is the second and final TPB for "Farscape: Scorpius". It came out almost one year to the day when I began my coloring career with this very title. This sort of brings me full circle and makes me feel all the luckier to have had the opportunity to work on this book. I love Farscape and I hope it showed. The entire "Scorpius" mini-series is now collected into two TPBs. Get them both!



Also out, "Incorruptible" TPB #3. Andrew Dalhouse colored the first of the four issues this collects but my color is the other three. I was a fan of "Incorruptible" and "Irredeemable" even before I got to color it so working on this title is fan-boy-heaven! If you're not reading these titles go out and pick them up now!

"28 Days Later" #21

It's hard to believe there are only three issues left of "28 Days Later". I'm really going to be sad not to have this title to color every month. The story has been really engaging, even for someone like myself with an aversion to zombies/infected gore. And this issue finally sees... oh, I can't tell you. #21 is out at stores today with fill-in artist Pablo Peppino completing the line art. Get you one!

2011 HEROES Guest

I've been to quite a few conventions over the past twenty years but none of them have been as wonderful as HEROES. So you can imagine how happy I am to be a guest at the 2011 HEROESCON, June 3-5! I'll have a table with issues and TPBs of my color work and will be available to do convention sketch cards. I've been asked about doing a panel and/or tutorial so when I've more information that'll get posted up too. Really looking forward to it! If you've never been to HEROES and love comics it is a MUST! "Incorruptible" #15

After getting to color the Paradigm in "Irredeemable" #21 I was really happy to have a few of their members (including my favorite, Qubit!) showing up in "Incorruptible". Once again Marcio Takara does his magic with the line art and keeps my job easy. This issue really looks solid and is a major turning point for two of the characters... or is it?! It'll be out this week at shops. Get you one!

"28 Days Later" #20

Seems hard to believe I've been working on "28 Days Later" for five months already. This is the fourth book with Ale Aragon I've colored for this series. It's been getting good reviews even without the infected playing a big role and I've figured out some new tricks for coloring it. These pages only take between 45-90 minutes now once flats are done and I'm loving every second. #20 is out at stores this week. Get you one!

I'm in Imperial Trouble

A couple of friends of mine really like to nerd it up from time to time (that's equivalent to every other second) and last night they invited me to broadcast with them. Jason Pierce Mallory of Scene Missing Magazine and Sam Mitchell of The Police Box run their independent blogs but when they get together (sorta like Voltron) they form the Imperial Trouble Podcast. We hit upon so many subjects it was ridiculous and had so many tangents "Family Guy" would be proud. Star Wars, Mass Effect, strippers, and zombies were just the highlights. What's scary is after the podcast we kept talking for hours. I'm hoping to be back and wax nerd-etically once again with them in the future since we definitely had a ton of material for it. It was crazy fun. Check out Episode 11 with yours truly and listen to new episodes every Wednesday!

"Incorruptible" #14

The world of "Incorruptible" and "Irredeemable" has been more or less ransacked by the Plutonian. Now that he's gone the world can celebrate their freedom. I decided this issue needed to get hit with some saturated colors all over. Usually I've reserved it for high-action or sfx to make those things really pop out of the issue or off the page but this is world-wide-party needed more. Ideally, if you were to put this issue next to all of the others its palette alone will hopefully make it stand out as a moment of celebration in the wreckage. "Incorruptible" #14, line art by Marcio Takara, colors by moi, is out this week. Get you one!

"28 Days Later" #19

This story arc directly ties into the original movie "28 Days Later". They've been really smart with how the comic and movies related. This title continues to be a huge surprise for me too. I absolutely love coloring it. "28 Days Later" #19 will be out this Wednesday. Here's the CBR preview. Get you one!

Star Wars Galaxy 6

December is always way too busy. Well, this December was also eight days shorter than normal due to holiday plans made after I had already scheduled work for myself. So when I did the latest batch of "Star Wars" sketch cards I went primarily with ink only to save time and stay on deadline. Even that is more than what is required. Granted, I still colored a few. I love coloring these cards and wished I had had time to do so. Still, they turned out alright and I really pulled in some obscure characters for this round. See if you can name them all!



Star Wars Galaxy series hit stores in February 2011. Get you some and hope you snag some sweet sketch cards!

"Irredeemable" #21

When you've got an opportunity to stretch some color muscle on a different title and it helps out the other artists and your editor, you go for it! So between coloring pages for "28 Days Later", I managed to pinch-color pages 8-17, 21, and 22 for "Irredeemable" #21. BOOM! had me use a style similar to Andrew Dalhouse (the regular colorist who did the rest of the book which can be previewed at CBR) so there was more continuity in the art. At first I wasn't so hot on the airbrush technique but I made it my own and ended up being very happy with the results! So here are a few of my pages from "Irredeemable" #21. I'm quite proud to have worked on another of Mark Waid's amazing titles at BOOM! Studios especially at such a moment in the title's story. It's at comic shops now so get you one!
