As usual I had a great time at Heroes Con, my favorite convention of all time, but this year was my most successful yet! It's my fifth time in six years and it just keeps getting better and better. I swear they pump awesome into the convention hall air it's so wonderful. There were even people who wanted me, a colorist, to do sketches for them! I was more than happy to oblige and did lots of custom sketch card commissions too. This year "Mass Effect" characters were REALLY popular. All three games are my favorite ever (that is if I can find the time to finish the third one) so doing these was a personal treat.
I'm considering opening up commissions for sketch cards via this blog again. If you are interested leave a comment. The more interest the more likely I'll do so.
And here's the sketch card sheet from Heroes 2012 for collectors!

"Insufferable" #9
Just when you think Nocturnus couldn't be a bigger jerk. Damn. Seriously, who is the insufferable one? Galahad is looking more understandable every week. Makes me wonder when the other foot drops what it'll be. Written by Mark Waid, line art by Peter Krause, lettering by Troy Peteri, and color by me. Read it now!

"Insufferable" #8
Looks like Nocturnus and Galahad are back... together?! We see how well these two former partners-against-crime work with one another and how their differing crime fighting ideologies mesh. But this episode, for me, really begs the question, "Which one of them is the insufferable one?" Written by Mark Waid, line art by Peter Krause, lettering by Troy Peteri, and color by me. "Planet of the Apes" #15 cover
When my son was born I had to quit coloring the interiors for "Planet of the Apes" but was really lucky editor Dafna Pleban was so awesome and kept me on to do covers. These have been an absolute joy to work on and this was no exception. It also was another chance to color Damian Couceiro which is always a pleasure. #15 is out this week so go pick up a copy!

"Insufferable" #7
Last Wednesday a new installment of 'Insufferable' came out. For the first time we step away from Nocturnus and Galahad to discover a little more about the world they live in. We see the first hints of our antagonist (I don't even know who they are yet!) and how manipulative they are. Written by Mark Waid, line art by Peter Krause, lettering by Troy Peteri, and color by me. Check it out!

"Incorruptible" #30
Out of all of the books I've colored, I grew the most on 'Incorruptible'. Twenty-one issues in a row will do that. That's just more than 2/3rds the entire series. I really learned a lot during the series making this finale really hard on me. There was no other book I looked forward to as much as 'Incorruptible'. I've missed it this past month and know it'll be quite some time before I stop wondering when I'll get the next script. I hope I made everyone proud and brought an added dimension to the book with my color.
I'd like to thank the following for making my run on 'Incorruptible' such a fantastic experience: Shannon Watters for being so wonderful, professional, and personable an editor, Marcio Takara drew most of the issues I colored and each page was a pleasure I hope to experience again, Damian Couceiro came in near the end and I immediately loved each issue, and, of course, Mark Waid for writing a man so lost, like so many of us, it took something horrible to teach him how wrong he was and that knowing you're wrong is a very different thing from knowing how to be right.
Good bye, 'Incorruptible'.

"Insufferable" #6
Get more Nocturnus and Galahad from 'Insufferable' now on Thrillbent.com for free! The ex-partners discover they both had similar experiences and Galahad defends his use of social media. This is the installment that made me reconsider Galahad's position and that maybe he really is onto something. Interesting twist of my perspective of the characters. "Extermination" #1 2nd print cover
Got to work with Kalman Andrasofszky again, coloring his line for the 2nd-print cover of BOOM! Studios' new title 'Extermination'. It's out this week so go pick up a copy!
And if you didn't see the cover he and I did for the final issue of 'Irredeemable' you can check it out here. Really enjoy it when I get to color his line and seems BOOM! does too.

"Insufferable" #5
The latest installment of 'Insufferable' is online and free to read! We'll see how both Nocturnus and his son Galahad each react to the events of the last installment. It really highlights the personalities of each.
