"Insufferable" #28

Doing things a bit differently this week by introducing the "Nocturnus Files"! Nocturus keeps detailed files on everyone he meets and this week we're exploring the dirt he has collected on the Operations Vice President of Galahad Global Inc. Joachim Reinwutt.

Stegman's Galactus

This past weekend was the SCAD-Atlanta Artists Forum and Ryan Stegman was one of our guests. He, and all of our guests, were gracious and gave us pages for students to learn from and color. I've been coloring them too and this was one of his. So much quiet tension and atmosphere to play with here. Loved it! Hope you do too.

I also previously colored a "Scarlet Spider" cover he gave us. You can view that here.

Fantastic Four

Let me preface this. I do not have the script. I avoided reading this issue so as not to influence my own choices. I have absolutely no idea what is happening. Therefore, my color may not perfectly fit the story I'm unaware of and did the best I could with just these pages. That said, now I can't wait to read it!

These b&w pages were graciously donated to our SCAD-Atlanta Sequential Art department by Nick Dragotta who is an upcoming guest at our Artists Forum! I've really enjoyed all of the pages donated by our guests so I've been coloring them up in my spare time. They've all been a ton of fun to color and these were no exception.

Scarlet Spider #11 cover

This Fall at SCAD-Atlanta we're welcoming Ryan Stegman during our Artists Forum and he and our other guests donated some line art for our events poster. I'm lucky enough to be the one to color up all of it. This is the first of what will be quite a few covers and pages from the artists at the event. Very thankful to them for letting me color it all!

This is the cover to "Scarlet Spider" #11 but with my color. This is not the official cover color.

I don't just color. I can draw too!

More and more often, people ask me if I can draw. Yes. Yes, I can. Here's a short I did a few years back. Pains me to admit it's been that long but coloring and family have taken priority over drawing. Hoping to change that soon. Until then -- I wrote, penciled, and inked this and would love to expand upon it. Enjoy.

"Insufferable" #20

Galahad is back much sooner than anticipated and needs a little hand holding to put the pieces together while Malvolia reappears!

Captain Cold

Been doing lots of experiments in coloring lately. Everything from different layer setups to trying variations of palettes I normally don't gravitate towards. By and large, I'm considering them all failures but they've been good learning experiences. So I tried another experiment in the opposite direction and am pretty happy with both the workflow AND results. Looking forward to applying this to some Ramón Pérez, Nick Dragotta, Ryan Stegman, and Jorge Molina pages to further expand my portfolio!

"Insufferable" #16

Galahad is sooo easy to see as utterly insufferable that I'm really curious what Mark has in store to balance the "who is the insufferable one?" with Nocturnus especially since this installment raises Galahad to new levels of obnoxious!
